Rubbed Out at Ruby’s was our first installment of Immersive Murder Mystery, penned by local author Cynthia Quackenbush! Over 100 people came to the Overlook Mansion for a night of food, speakeasy drinks, bordello conversation, and deduction.
Unlike other murder mysteries, our Immersive Murder Mystery puts the audience in the role of investigators, and actively encourages questioning, bribery, deduction, flattery, and observation to solve the murder. Audiences overhear arguments, examine placed clues, and have plenty of opportunities to interrogate actors themselves. This is no passive dinner Mystery, but an unique role-playing experience.
